Anthony "Tony" Del Santo

Together with his wife and daughters Michela and Giovanna, Anthony “Tony” Del Santo has been a resident of Elmwood Park for the past 15 years.

Anthony “Tony” Del Santo is the current School Board President at St. Celestine School in Elmwood Park and has been an active Board Member since 2007. He is also the current President of the Elmwood Park Neighborhood Civic Organization (EPNCO). In addition, Del Santo was a coach for the Elmwood Park 8U Girl’s Softball team for the 2012 season, and will be coaching the Elmwood Park 10U Girl’s Softball team for 2013.

Employed by the Cook County Sheriff’s Office since 1992, Del Santo began his career as a Deputy Sheriff. Through hard work and dedication, Del Santo worked his way to becoming a Chief in the Electronic Monitoring Unit.

In 2009 he was recognized by Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez for Outstanding and Dedicated service to Victims of Crime. For this award, Del Santo helped establish an electronic notification to victims of crime letting them know the custody status of an inmate.

He has working knowledge of completing Requests for Proposal, from writing proposals, to working with Vendors in demonstrations, question and answers sessions, and going through the selection process. Del Santo has a 21 year career in Public Service; he understands doing more with less. Del Santo will continue finding solutions to issues facing Elmwood Park by thinking outside the box, and doing more with less.

One of three candidates endorsed by the Elm Leaves in 2011 as a Candidate of Choice among the six (6) then running for office, Anthony “Tony” Del Santo is running for Village Trustee in the April 2013 elections.
